Unimo by Nano-Optonics Energy

At first glance, it appears as if Apple has designed a wheelchair, but the Unimo is a one-seater electric vehicle intended to run inside hospitals and rehab centers.  The idea behind the Unimo is to provide an alternative to a wheelchair.  More information after the jump.

The EV looks like a recliner with its flat sides hiding the tank treads.  The flat-sided design and tracked layout allows these vehicles to be laid out in line and have high maneuverability.  The tracks allow Unimo to turn about within its own axis.  The independent suspension system enables the vehicle to traverse curbs and steps up to 6 inches and has the capability of automatically keeping the seat level to optimize user comfort in nearly any terrain.

The Japanese company that created the Unimo, Nano-Optonics Energy, has no intention to sell this vehicle to individuals but will sell multiple units to hospitals and rehabilitation centers.  For more information, check out this link.
