Drinking...

Being that it is St. Patrick's Day today, it is only appropriate that this post will be about drinking. Since it is a day when many young people will be going out and enjoying a lovely pint of the good stuff, personally, beer is tough for people on wheelchairs since it makes me pee. I tend to lean towards mixed drinks like an Irish Coffee since I can still have a great time with my friends, Irish or otherwise, and not have to worry as much with going to the bathroom as I would with beer. As with anyone, drink responsibly (especially those on powerchairs) since drunk driving laws do apply to people on wheelchairs; however, when has anyone seen a police car with a wheelchair lift?
